Karen Eachus Growing up in Greenville, South Carolina, I was the Youth Minister at my church and was active in community theatre and danced in productions such as "Mame," "Sweet Charity," "Oliver," "Cinderella," to name a few. I stayed involved in theatre through my years at Winthrop University. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1990, I have worked in production on numerous films and television dramas, including most recently David Mamet's "The Unit" for CBS and "ER" for NBC. In September 2003, I directed a short film called "Valentine Man." The film was selected for screening at many film festivals, including Rhode Island International Film Festival, San Diego Film Festival, Temecula International Film Festival, to name a few. "Valentine Man" won the Bronze Award at WorldFest Houston for Best Original Dramatic Short Film. It screened in Los Angeles at the spiritually oriented Damah Film Festival in March 2005. "The Last Miracle" is the first in a series of entertaining family films. As a director, the series offers a unique opportunity, not only to create visually beautiful, uplifting, educational films for all ages, but it also provides a way to give something good back to the world we live in. My combined experience in the creative arts, business and spiritual realms in Greenville, South Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, and Los Angeles, California gives me an individual and original perspective. |
