Ted C. Eachus At San Francisco State University, I majored in film production. My senior year was devoted to producing a thirty-eight minute short film entitled "Mr. Success." As the name implies, it was a success on the film festival circuit and won several awards for its humor and directing. Upon moving to Los Angeles, I was approached to write, direct and produce a documentary for Jewish Vocational Services (JVS) in Los Angeles which would document their very successful English As A Second Language program with recent Jewish immigrants arriving from the former Soviet Union. Funding was limited so I had to budget the production rather tightly. Within a week of completion, a Japanese broadcast company aired it in both Japan and Israel. "Valentine Man" was my next successful venture which I wrote and produced in 2003. It screened at numerous film festivals across America. My wife, Karen, who directed the film, was recipient of the Bronze Award for Best Original Dramatic Short Film at WorldFest Houston in 2004. It's always a surprise to win at festivals because of the tremendous competition. In 2006, a whole new spectrum of possibilities has opened with our newly formed Genesis 12 Productions. Putting great stories within reach of family viewing both on television and in feature films has always been a goal of mine. I am at the threshold of this vision. It's a very exciting time. |
